OTM Saturday Predictions: Week 1

It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's time to fire up the grill and the debate.

Sorry Florida fans, I was unable to get a beat writer to talk about the Florida Gators. However, I can tell you their defense will be good and their offense will be horrid. Usually leads to a 7-5 record in the SEC. The lack of stability at QB is usually an issue going into the season (Auburn 2008, Tennessee 2005).

Here's my predictions for tonight's big games:

Auburn 27 Clemson 20

The Auburn Tigers may have some instability with Reese Dismukes suspension. But, as you saw last night with Tennessee, the ACC is slowly falling to Big East status. Clemson usually folds like a lawn chair on big stages and neutral sites. I look for Auburn's D to be much better and shut down Boyd. With the abscence of Sammy Watkins at WR, Clemson's offense will not be as potent.

Alabama 34 Michigan 13

This game would be predicted closer if Fitz Touissant was playing in this game. However, Brady Hoke is gambling on Michigan's program for the season to come. The Wolverines are about a year away, but they're no match for Alabama's size.
